ALASKA governor Sarah Palin blamed Bush administration policies for the Republican presidential defeat and prayed she would not miss "an open door" for her next political opportunity.
"I'm like, OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray, I'm like, don't let me miss the open door,"

Republican vice presidential candidate Mrs Palin said in an interview with Fox News, amid speculation that she will run for US president in four years.

"And if there is an open door in 12 or four years later, and if it is something that is going to be good for my family, for my state, for my nation, an opportunity for me, then I'll plough through that door."

In the wide-ranging interview, Mrs Palin said she neither wanted nor asked for the £94,000-plus wardrobe the Republican Party bankrolled, and thought the issue was an odd one at the end of the campaign, considering "what is going on in the world today".

"I did not order the clothes. Did not ask for the clothes. I would have been happy to have worn my own clothes from day one. But that is kind of an odd issue, an odd campaign issue as things were wrapping up there as to who ordered what and who demanded what."

"It's amazing that we did as well as we did," Mrs Palin, who was Senator John McCain's running mate, said of last week's election in a separate interview with the Anchorage Daily News.

"I think the Republican ticket represented too much of the status quo, too much of what had gone on in these last eight years, that Americans were kind of shaking their heads like going, wait a minute, how did we run up a 10 trillion-dollar debt in a Republican administration? How have there been blunders with war strategy under a Republican administration?

"If we're talking change, we want to get far away from what it was that the present administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party at the time had been representing."

Mrs Palin has scheduled a series of national interviews this week with Fox, NBC television's Today show and CNN. She also plans to attend the Republican Governors Association conference in Florida this week.

She has been mentioned as a possible presidential candidate in 2012 and could also could seek re-election in 2010 or challenge Senator Lisa Murkowski. Still uncertain is the fate of Senator Ted Stevens, who is leading the vote count in his bid for another term but could be ousted by the Senate for his conviction on seven charges of failing to report more than £156,000 in gifts, mostly renovations on his home.

If Mr Stevens loses his seat, Mrs Palin could run for it in a special election.

Mrs Palin and Mr McCain's campaign faced a storm of criticism over the tens of thousands of dollars spent at such high-end stores as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus to dress the nominee. Republican National Committee lawyers are still trying to determine exactly what clothing was bought for Mrs Palin, what was returned and what has become of the rest.

Her father, Chuck Heath, said Mrs Palin spent part of the weekend going through her clothing to determine what belonged to the Republican Party.

Mr Heath said his daughter told him the only clothing or accessories she personally had purchased in the past four months was a pair of shoes.

RNC lawyers have been discussing with Mrs Palin whether what's left of the clothing and accessories bought for her on the campaign trail will go to charity, back to stores or be paid for by Mrs Palin, a McCain-Palin campaign official said.

Let me draw attention to this statement, mentioned in the above article:

"I'm like. . . OK, God, if there is an open door for me somewhere, this is what I always pray. . . I'm like. . . don't let me miss the open door."

"I'm Like ?"

Does she ACTUALLY have the maturity level of a 13 year old ? Really ?

Who is this person speaking, "Hannah Montana" ?

******************************************************-

How about this one, also from above article :

"If we're talking change, we want to get far away from what it was that the present administration represented and that is to a great degree what the Republican Party at the time had been representing."

WHAT IS WRONG WITH THIS WOMAN'S MIND ?

Seriously; her statements are the result of "words in a blender," and may make sense to similar intellects who share her "values."

I pray to all existing gods that she fade into oblivion, lest she damage our country any further.

There is some truth in her statement about Bush - he is after all a friend of Osama Bin Laden, he has been hiding him and supporting him since the 9/11 attacks.

Who actually attacked the twin towers - we will find out soon enough. Unless of course we find Bin Laden suddenly dead - which I think we probably will in due course. They cant have him talking about the plans to hit the towers now can we?

Perhaps someone could elaborate on the following:

Expressive dysphasia - Sarah Style -

"Expressive dysphasia, also known as motor dysphasia, produces a conscious and recognizable disruption of a patient's speech production and language output.

This includes the impairment of speech initiation, proper grammatical sequencing, and proper word forming and articulation."

"Although patients can perfectly understand what is said to them, they have great difficulty communicating their thoughts."

Does any of this seem to fit the bill ?

"It's amazing that we did as well as we did," Mrs Palin, who was Senator John McCain's running mate, said of last week's election in a separate interview with the Anchorage Daily News.

AMAZING INDEED !

Intelligence is what is lacking in this woman. Never happen she'd have to have a brain transplant first for the over 56% of women who voted for Obama ever to consider her remotely.

Sarah, McCain would have stood a better chance of winning if he'd chosen Homer Simpson as his running mate.

Keep talking and show the world just how much you need therapy.

6# Unlike presidents that have managed to get a lot of people killed, she will have to wait her turn. I suspect Obama will equal the rest of them. It is wait and see. It is strange that some women are worse than men when it comes to giving woman the right of choice.

I don't care if she's as stoopid as a rock, she's the only rock in the rock pile that was smart enough to get a pipeline together. Those negotiations aren't easily done.

You have to wonder if ADN didn't rough her up a bit, just to be sure she wouldn't win.
One day after the loss, they're asking her to get back to work on the pipeline.

"I'm like, OK, God"

Sarah Palin is now, 'God'

We all better get down on our hands and knees and pray

I recall reading somewhere that John Lennon used a similar line in jest regarding the Beatles when touring the US and was roundly castigated. Apparently many Americans burned their records in response.

God in fact just happens to be her husband Todd, he advises her every move. So it appears Sarah Palin really is a bimbo after all considering Todd does all the thinking for her. No doubt our redneck hillbilly bimbo brigade here at the Scotsman will disagree, but facts are facts. Carolyn's support for a hillbilly redneck that can't speak English properly only reinforces the belief that she too is an absolute fool

#13 Ivan: I think you are getting a little ahead of yourself for praising her over the pipeline:

ANCHORAGE, Alaska – Contrary to Gov. Sarah Palin's campaign promises to "build a pipeline quickly," the massive project to send natural gas south is still no sure thing.
TransCanada Corp. has been awarded a state license, but still needs approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, which is years away. Canadian regulators must sign off on their portion. First Nation tribes in Canada are objecting to the proposed route. And even if it sails through financial and regulatory hurdles, TransCanada still has no obligation to build the pipeline.
If the company doesn't complete the project, it could still receive up to $500 million in state subsidies, with startup costs split evenly until the company tries to secure contracts to ship gas through the supply channel. Between the time TransCanada locks in shipping commitments and files for a federal permit, the state will pick up 90 percent of the tab even before ground is broken.

Y'have to admit ... it was very telling that Bush chose not to vote! It looks suspiciously like he didn't want McCain and Palin to win but he couldn't quite stomach the idea of voting for Obama ...

@15 Laurette
Even if you hate her, republicans and religious conservatives, give Palin credit for being smart. The lower 48 needs natural gas. Do you dislike her enough that you think Americans should go without heat?

From the Alaskan news article Nov 1:
Misfire at Palin
Associated Press story offers skewed picture of gas line work
Published: November 1st, 2008 12:21 AM

http://www.adn.com/opinion/view/story/574868.html

"This report from The Associated Press is a remarkably skewed account with little new information to support the charge it implies....

AN INDEPENDENT APPROACH

Sarah Palin's handling of the gas line license was a good example of how she was an independent-minded governor who worked with Democrats to overcome the old guard in her own party.

The Daily News is not a mindless hometown cheerleader for our governor. We have endorsed the opposing ticket in the presidential race.

But voters should make their judgment based on sound information. The AP report has offered a distorted picture of Sarah Palin's admirable performance in Alaska's long-running quest for a North Slope gas line.

BOTTOM LINE: Contrary to an Associated Press report, Alaska's bidding process for a gas line license was not flawed."
