PUPILS at a primary school could be offered menus with halal as the only meat option, a local councillor said.
Dale Primary School in Derby is consulting parents about whether they would want to see the traditional Muslim meat offered on school menus, it was reported today.

One option being considered is to have one day a week where the meat option is solely halal, the city council's portfolio holder for children and young people said.

I sincerely hope they vote a resounding no to this.

What about freedom of choice and human rights for the non muslim kids?

Will they propose a pork only day?

What does it matter to non-Muslims if the meat they eat is halal? It won't be different meat, it'll just have been killed differently. It makes no difference to anyone.

#2 Artemis - It might make a big difference to non-Muslim kids and their parents if they knew the details of how the animals are killed.

"It might make a big difference to non-Muslim kids and their parents if they knew the details of how the animals are killed."

Frnakly there is little difference how the animals are killed in this country, whether halal or not. The rest is purely scaremongering.

Guardian from a a while back carried an interview with owner of biggest Halal meat business in UK; Tariq Halal Meats.

"The fact of the matter is that the meat Tariq sells - which is certified as halal - was stunned before it was slaughtered."

Shouting comments on internet is useless, people in Derby will not ear nore read you.

Let us apply the Amnesty International-SITA method to the naïve people of Dale Primary School in Derby and to the dhimmi local councillors of Derby : a letter, in a stamped enveloppe, sent by snail-mail (see http://tinyurl.com/6r4fsu and http://tinyurl.com/592ezu )
Forget about the e-mails : they have, literally, no weight.

- Print the first page of the present article, directly from your browser (File > Print...) so that they will know what you are talking about.

- Cross the page with :
NO SPONSORING OF THE QURAN !
NO SPREAD OF THE SHARIA !
NO HALAL !

A cartoon is sometime worth thousand words, so on the back, print a self-speaking cartoon by Steph Bergol, either :

A stamp allows you to send two sheets of paper, so you can add a second sheet with some information about the true nature of Islam, for example:

1- a leaflet about islam (see http://tinyurl.com/2m8ggr or http://tinyurl.com/69pt27 or see right column of http://www.actionsita.com )

or

2- the first two pages of chapter XII from the 1923 book "Islam and the psychology of the musulman" by André Servier (the original french version is on http://tinyurl.com/5kxhu6 )

or

3- the letter about islam from Ali Sina : http://tinyurl.com/c5ggq

Snail-mail address of Dale Primary School in Derby is on page

Send same letter to the councillors of Derby, which snail-mail address is on page http://www.derbyweb.com/ (left column)
Names of the councillors of Derby are on page

Put in an envelope, write the address, stamp and send. It is just that easy to fight islam in Derby, wherever you are on the pla
