LETTERS sent recorded delivery from a post office could take 21 days to reach their destination, a new report has warned.
Postwatch and Which? have both received complaints about the service, with items failing to turn up promptly, getting lost or being handed over without a signature. Last year, Royal Mail had 121,600 complaints about the service, which does not guarantee delivery time.

Look Admin ... why not just print up a list of words you've effectively banned posters from using.

When a passport went AWOL in the post (sent recorded delivery), the Royal Mail refuse to take any action until 21 days had passed! It finally arrived more than four weeks later and after I had filled out all the silly forms. However, as far as I know, it is still listed as undelivered on their online tracking system!

If the Royal Mail concentrated on its core business of handling mail and spent less time and money promoting all the silly fringe services - insurance, etc - we might find that there is still a relevant place for it in the 21st century.

Go for it, BW. I wasn't allowed to refer to a species of garden bird - blue ***, great ***, etc - but, reading about the New Zealand parade today, it seems that boobs are allowed! Is it lack of consistency or lack of imagination?
