RANGERS fans heading to Manchester by train on services from Waverley Station are being warned to behave.
British Transport Police has issued a call for fans heading to the UEFA Cup Final to be safe and responsible while travelling by train to the game.

Supporters have also been warned that alcohol will not be allowed, or sold, on any of the services between Waverley and Preston or Manchester tomorrow, during the match day on Wednesday or on any of the trains returning to Scotland on Thursday.

Police will patrol services heading to Manchester in an attempt to stamp out antisocial behaviour.

Alex McGuire, chief inspector for operational support, from the Scottish area of BTP, said: "The main aim of our policing operation for the final is to ensure that everyone travelling by train gets to Manchester safely.

"Since Rangers made it to the final we have been liaising with our colleagues to ensure we have well-prepared plans to make sure everyone can travel in a safe environment."
