Queen's dress firm fails

THE former dressmaker to the Queen, Hardy Amies, has filed for administration after funding talks failed. The firm, founded in 1946 by the late Sir Hardy Amies, suspended its shares two weeks ago.
Hardy Amies had been suffering losses for several years and has six UK outlets, including one in Edinburgh. It is also stocked in dozens of stores nationwide, including Harvey Nichols.
