Anger over BBC's £10m on flights

THE BBC was accused yesterday of being "frivolous" with licence fee-payers' money after it revealed more than £10 million had been spent on flights last year.
More than £3 million of that went on business or first-class tickets, according to figures released to the Liberal Democrats under the Freedom of Information Act.
Norman Baker, the party's transport spokesman, said that, at a time when the BBC should be doing all it could to provide good value for the licence fee, the figures were "staggering".
