Tories take lead for first time in a year

The Conservatives edged ahead of Labour for the first time in more than a year, according to a UK poll published yesterday.

Support for the Tories is 39 per cent, up a percentage point on last month, while that for Labour is unchanged on 38 per cent, the ComRes survey found.
