Three jailed over gay–hate leaflets
Three men have been jailed for between 15 months and two years after becoming the first to be convicted of stirring up hatred on the grounds of sexual orientation.
Ihjaz Ali, Kabir Ahmed and Razwan Javed were convicted at Derby Crown Court after handing out a leaflet entitled “The Death Penalty?” calling for gay people to be executed.
