London 2012 Olympics: Torch tourists fear the weather

About 22 per cent of the UK population attended the Olympic torch relay and a further 9 per cent plan to visit sites where the torch was paraded One fifth of the adults, about ten million people, intended to take at least one holiday or short break in the UK by the end of this month, VisitEngland said.

Tourism is likely to generate about £2.3 billion – but VisitEngland said a third of people were worried about poor weather.
