Home–grown salad on the at–risk list

Key ingredients of the great British salad are on the endangered list as retailers chase profits at the expense of home-grown greens, the National Farmers’ Union has warned.

The NFU says more of theses crops are being imported, stripping millions of pounds out of the fresh produce sector.
