Heiress Eva Rausing predicted her death
eva Rausing, the wife of the heir to the multi-billion-pound Tetra Pak empire, predicted her own death in e-mails to her father-in-law and friends it was reported yesterday.
The body of the 48-year-old American billionairess was found in her London home during a police drugs search last week.
Her husband Hans Kristian, 49, was arrested on suspicion of her murder but is currently being held in a secure medical facility after being ruled unfit for questioning.
The couple, who had a long history of drug use, were arrested in 2008 after Eva was caught trying to smuggle crack cocaine and heroin into the US Embassy in London in her handbag. The charges were later dropped when the couple admitted guilt and accepted a police reprimand.
Writing to her father-in-law Hans Kristian senior, Eva said: “I realise I will die and there is a part of me that desperately does not want to die and wants to fight, fight, fight but I am sliding and I am desperately calling to you for help. If nothing changes I will die Hans. I just felt that I did not want to die without trying everything that I possibly could to reach you.”
