Beemers hit with used car buyers

Used car purchasers are as likely to buy BMWs as battered bangers, according to a survey.

The average price of a privately-sold used car is now more than £6,000, the poll by information service company Experian found.

High-end models such as the BMW 3 Series and the Audi A4 are among the most popular vehicles sold second hand, the survey revealed.
