Archbishop to take on editor’s role

The next Archbishop of Canterbury will guest edit his local newspaper for a day, the title has announced.

The Rt Rev Justin Welby, currently the Bishop of Durham, will take charge of the Northern Echo newspaper on 10 January. It will be a year since he last took charge of the Darlington-based newspaper, a role which he said he thoroughly enjoyed.
