15–year–old held over joyriding

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after driving a stolen car at more than twice the speed limit and attempting a handbrake turn.

Officers from West Midlands Police say they chased and caught up with him after less than a quarter of a mile.

The boy was arrested in Abbey Road, Whitley, at just after midnight yesterday.
