Two people hurt on roads

TWO people were seriously hurt in separate road accidents in Edinburgh and Fife.

A 22-year-old man was hit by a taxi at about 12:10am yesterday in the capital’s Old Dalkeith Road, near the junction with Ferniehill Drive. He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary with serious injuries.

A woman, 30, was rushed to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee after being involved in a collision between a car and a motorcycle in Fife.

The crash happened at around 11am yesterday on the A917 Crail to St Andrews road near Wormiston Farm.

She was also said to be seriously injured.
