Strathclyde Police renew appeal on Great Western Road death crash

POLICE have renewed an appeal for witnesses to an accident which led to the death of a 50-year-old Porsche driver.

Strathclyde Police hope to trace the driver of a silver or grey BMW or Audi, which was behind the Porsche moments before the fatal crash.

The incident took place on Great Western Road in Clydebank on Friday 2 November at about 8:50pm. The Porsche 911 appears to have lost control on a left-hand bend at the West Park Hotel before hitting a barrier, according to Strathclyde Police.

The man died shortly afterwards. His 16-year-old daughter, who was a passenger, has been released from hospital.
