Police appeal after fatal A91 crash

An 18-YEAR-OLD man has died and a woman is in a serious condition in hospital after a head-on car collision.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the accident, which happened on the A91 at Bow of Fife, just before 8am yesterday.

The man was driving a Peugeot 206 and the 51-year-old woman was driving a Peugeot 207. She suffered serious injuries and after being treated at the scene was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.

The road remained closed for some time yesterday, Fife Constabulary said.

Inspector Brenda Sinclair said yesterday: “This is a tragic loss for this young man’s family and I appeal for anyone who may have information about this accident to contact the police.

“Drivers may have seen these cars on the A91, and I would encourage them to let us know any details they may have.”
