SPL Fanzone: Dundee United
UNITED have played better this season than they did on Saturday and lost the match.
To win 5-1 was certainly a bonus. There were a few howlers by St Johnstone that gifted goals but the roles played by Dixon, Daly and Mackay-Steven should not go uncredited. Dixon set up three goals, including one for Jon Daly from his now trademark pinpoint cross from deep.
It looks like Dixon is away at the end of the season and the man who many United fans are tipping for their player of the year will be greatly missed. But they will be hoping United can find a replacement for Dixon, like they did for Conway with Mackay-Steven, who in his short time at the club is already looking like the real deal. Any doubters should ensure that they watch Soccer AM this Saturday for some serious showboating!
