FANS who played their part in selling out Murrayfield for Sunday’s EMC Test against New Zealand are being invited to secure a unique memento of the day, writes David Ferguson.

Scotland team sponsor RBS commissioned a 360 degree, multibillion pixel image of the crowd and is now urging supporters to go online and make themselves part of the picture.

The super fine detail of RBS FanPic allows spectators to zoom in on the area where they were sitting, then find and tag themselves via Facebook. They can also find and tag friends and family using the social network, and enter a competition to win a signed Scotland shirt.

To view RBS FanPic and locate themselves in the crowd, supporters can log on to www.rbs.co.uk/scottishrugby. Since the image went live yesterday evening, more than 3,000 fans have found and tagged themselves.

RBS FanPic is one strand of the activation being undertaken by RBS during the EMC Tests. Volunteers from clubs across the country have also been invited to carry a giant Scotland shirt on to the pitch shortly before kick-off in all three games. The initiative, called Fabric of the Nation, provides recognition for the hard work and passion with which volunteers supported their local club during RBS RugbyForce on 11 and 12 August this year.

Some lucky RBS customers, meanwhile, have won the right to enjoy a pie and a pint in the RBS Clubhouse via a competition run for members of the RBS Rugby Club. RBS ambassador Chris Paterson and Scotland wing Lee Jones dropped into the Clubhouse on Sunday for a pre-match chat.

The RBS Rugby Club gives RBS customers the opportunity to win a number of exclusive prizes, from match tickets to behind the scenes access to watch Scotland train. To sign up for the Club, RBS customers can visit www.rbs.co.uk/loverugby.

RBS is the principal partner of Scottish Rugby and works with the governing body to grow support of all aspects
of the game.
