RBS Regional Cup: Underdogs get ready to bark in cup

Murrayfield Wanderers’ players go in to tonight’s RBS
Edinburgh Regional Cup tie against Watsonians as underdogs but in good spirits fresh from sessions with guest coaches Barry Stewart and Rob Moffat.

The RBS Championship B side lost out agonisingly 13-12 to Musselburgh last week in their cup opener and were delighted to get the chance to work with Stewart and Moffat this week.

And, with Wanderers coaches Bruce Aitchison and James Robertson having previously coached at Myreside, and Nick Hart having played for Watsonians, it is set to be an intriguing evening.

Top try scorer Rory Steele returns to the Watsonians line-up for the match. In the pack, there are three changes and Niall Dennis comes in against his former club. Also in the Regional Cup tonight, Lasswade host Biggar at Hawthornden.

In the RBS West Regional Cup, Cartha Queens Park play RBS National League outfit Hamilton at Dumbreck, Glasgow Hawks host Greenock Wanderers and Hillhead/Jordanhill welcome Ardrossan
Accies to Hughenden.
