Lindsay Wheeler has the look of the leader Scotland require

LINDSAY Wheeler will look to continue where she left off against England last Sunday and lead Scotland Women’s rugby players to victory in Wales tomorrow.

Although the Scots lost 47-0 in their RBS Six Nations opener to the English, Wheeler, who will earn her 49th cap tomorrow, was one of the best players on the park.

The No 8 has been around the squad a long time and, now aged 27, she is looking like a leader on the pitch, something that is needed with Susie Brown still out injured.

At the other end of the experience scale, prop Suzanne McKerlie-Hex will make her first-ever start for Scotland after five run-outs from the bench. Back-row Tess Forsberg makes just her second start.

Meanwhile, Wales Women have made two changes for the match at Cross Keys RFC – Amy Day coming in at scrum-half while Caryl James gets the nod on the wing.

Their opening match against Ireland was abandoned at half-time last week due to a frozen pitch.

In last year’s tournament, Wales defeated Scotland 41-12 in Edinburgh.
