Racing: Harker – Breezolini can run like the wind

GEOFF Harker is predicting another big run from Breezolini as she heads north for the Steps And Peter Andre Live On Saturday 7 July Handicap at Hamilton Park tonight.

The filly was a close second on her debut for new connections over course and distance in May before going one better over five furlongs at the Lanarkshire track nearly four weeks ago.

Thirsk-based Harker said: “She’s been a star since coming to us and she clearly loves Hamilton. She loves the ground and has a great draw so I don’t think she will be far away. As she’s only a light filly, she’s better fresh because she doesn’t stand a lot of racing.”

Among Breezolini’s 11 rivals is fellow Yorkshire raider Hopes N Dreams, who has won both her starts at Hamilton Park this year. Harker also saddles Free Art in the TurfTV Classified Stakes and he added: “She’s been really unlucky and we’re disappointed she hasn’t won a race yet. She bumped into one of Sir Henry Cecil’s at Ripon a fortnight ago and was just caught late on at Hamilton over a mile before that. She hasn’t run a bad race for me and will relish the ground and the slightly longer trip. And we know she handles the track so I can see her going close. Things are ticking over nicely and two of our recent winners broke the track record so that left me chuffed to bits.”
