Heading to go in herey and in herey in herey
Tony Judd will take charge of the Scotland Lions tomorrow when they face MCC in a three-day encounter at Ayr.
The MCC side includes former Saltires skippers Craig Wright and Ryan Watson, while Grange batsman Sanjay Patel and Carlton wicket-keeper Toby Bailey are also included.
Scotland’s team is packed with first-team men ahead of next month’s Intercontinental Cup clash with Canada.
Arbroath all-rounder Calvin Burnett has forced his way into the team following a successful outing in last week’s A international against Ireland.
“The side has been picked with the I-Cup in mind. We have this game and one more against Lancashire seconds to finalise our preparations for Canada,” said Judd, whose youthful Western Warriors side clinched their first Regional Series title on Sunday when an easy win over Eastern Knights gave them an unassailable lead at the top of the table with one game remaining.
Scotland Lions: E Chalmers, R Flannigan, C Burnett, C Wallace, R Berrington, S Smith, M Parker, C MacLeod, M Haq, M Iqbal, J Stander, G Goudie.
MCC: C Wright, A Akram, R Watson, C Perren, M Chilton, S Patel, J Knappett, T Bailey, W Morrick, N Buchanan, J Wakefield.
