Grange aim to keep up pressure at top

HOCKEY: Grange lead the chasing pack behind leaders Glynhill Kelburne. The Edinburgh side only trail on goal difference but have a game more played and coach Colin Clarke is determined to keep up the pressure with a convincing home win over city neighbours Watsonians in the Aberdeen Asset Management national league today.

Inverleith, six points behind Kelburne but also with the champions still to play, have Edinburgh University as their opponents. Perhaps the closest game of the day pairs PSL Clydesdale with the emerging Grove Menzieshill at Titwood. In the women’s competition, Edinburgh University play Dundee Wanderers and Inverleith are looking for a home win over bottom side Western Wildcats to further ease the relegation concerns.
