Schools golf: Fisher up to scratch in Paul Lawrie Trophy

GOLF: Adam Fisher (Cults Academy) won the Paul Lawrie Aberdeen Schools’ Scratch Trophy at Murcar with a level- par 71.

The two handicapper won by three shots from schoolmate Ben Henderson (Cults Academy).

For the second time in three years, the Paul Lawrie Girls’ Rosebowl went to Lauren Watson (Robert Gordon’s College).

Lauren, who plays off 11, had a net 74 and a four shot winning margin.

There was further success for Cults Academy when the Paul Lawrie Schools’ Scratch (13 to 24 Handicap) Trophy was won by Aiden Combe with a nine- over-par 79.

Thirteen-year-old Glen Morrison (Harlaw Academy) won the Paul Lawrie Handicap (13 to 24 Handicap) Trophy with a net 63 off 17, beating Hazlehead Academy’s Camran Knowles on a countback.
