Masson in front at South African Women’s Open

Caroline Masson took the lead after day one of the South African Women’s Open with an opening 69 at Selborne Park Golf Club.

The German birdied the fourth and eighth holes and despite bogeying the 15th she ended on three under par after picking up a shot on the 17th.

Joanna Klatten, Anais Maggetti, Julie Greciet and Stacy Lee Bregman are all two shots back on one under par. England’s Felicity Johnson and Becky Brewerton of Wales are just behind the quartet after going round in level par.
