MacRae’s Tartan Tour win

HEATHER MacRae joined forces with Chris Kelly to prove a winning combination in yesterday’s Glenmuir Winter Series, a Tartan Tour event, at The Renaissance.

On a sun-kissed day on the East Lothian coast, the duo were among four pairings to sign for six-under-par 65s.

But MacRae and Kelly picked up the £900 top prize on a card play-off pipping Jason McCreadie/Robert Arnott, Alan Tait/Nigel Scott-Smith and Gareth Wright/David Patrick.

More than 50 pairings took part in the event, with former European Tour player Andrew Coltart linking up with DJ Russell, the man who designed the two neighbouring courses at Archerfield Links, to finish in a tie for eighth on 67.
