Kaymer given US Tour slot

RYDER Cup hero Martin Kaymer’s name has been added to the list of Europeans joining the US Tour next season.

The former world No 1 turned down the chance immediately after his victory at the 2010 USPGA Championship but the PGA Tour has announced that the German will take up the exemption he earned with his play-off victory over Bubba Watson at Whistling Straits that week.

Swede Peter Hanson and Belgian Nicolas Colsaerts, two of Kaymer’s team-mates in Chicago in September, are also taking up membership thanks to the money they earned in PGA Tour events this year, as is England’s David Lynn.
