Fox well set up for final–day tilt at title

Scottish PGA Championship: Three scores in the 60s have set up Rowallan Castle’s Graham Fox for today’s final round over the King’s Course at Gleneagles.

The 35-year-old produced a six-under-par round of 65 yesterday for a three-round total of 200, three shots clear of Aberdeen’s Scott Henderson, who shot 66. Greig Hutcheon (Banchory) and Downfield’s Kenny Hutton are a stroke further back after shooting 68 and 69 respectively.

Fox insisted his round could have been even better. “I three-putted the last and missed two five-footers for birdies at the 14th and 17th,” he said.
