HIBERNIAN completed a loan deal for Barnsley winger Matt Done minutes before the transfer window closed last night.

The 24-year-old Englishman agreed a move to Easter Road until the summer after 13 appearances in the English Championship this season.

Done is a pacy attacking-minded player brought in by Hibs manager Pat Fenlon specifically to add width to the team. He previously played for Wrexham, Hereford United and Rochdale.

Done told the Hibs website: “I believe I’ve developed as a player after spending the past season-and-a-half in the Championship with Barnsley. But I’ve not played as much as I would’ve wanted to this season, so hopefully I can play well for Hibs and earn a regular place in the starting line-up.”

Fenlon added: “He is exactly what we were looking for – a quick, skilful winger with an eye for goal and he will provide us with an extra attacking option. Matt has already made over 30 appearances at Championship level, but he is still only 24 and developing as a player.”

Swedish international goalkeeper Viktor Noring arrived at Celtic Park last night as the SPL champions and current league leaders secured their lates signing.

Noring, who will turn 21 on Sunday, has won one full cap for Sweden and had represented his country at all age groups and since 2009 has been at Trelleborgs FF, who recently turned down a bid for the 6ft 4in keeper from Fulham.

Celtic also had a late loan offer for the Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Kevin Doyle rejected by the Midlands club.

Elsewhere in the SPL, Aberdeen last night confirmed the permanent signing of Mark Reynolds, who had been on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, on a four-and-a-half year deal. Goalkeeper Dan Twardzik has signed an 18-month contract after being granted international clearance.

Reynolds said: “After a spell of uncertainty, it’s great to get my future sorted out and know that I’m going to be in the north-east for the foreseeable future.”

St Johnstone were poised to take a second Newcastle player on loan until the end of the season, with 19-year-old winger Marcus Maddison making a temporary switch to the Perth club, following midfielder Mehdi Abeid who penned a six-month loan move earlier in the day.

Dundee have signed Nottingham Forest midfielder David Morgan on loan. The 18-year-old joins until the end of the season.

A statement on the club’s website confirmed: “Dundee football club are very pleased to announce the signing of David Morgan on loan from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season. The-18-year old midfielder has already represented Northern Ireland at Under-21 level. The club can confirm they are still in pursuit of at least one striker that will not necessarily be affected by the transfer window.”

Hearts did not add to their squad, but they did secure three young players on extended contracts. Scotland Under-21 midfielder Dale Carrick has signed until summer 2014, left-back Kevin McHattie signed a two-year deal, while Scotland Under-19 goalkeeper Jack Hamilton put pen to paper for another year.

Another Scotland Under-21 squad player, forward David Smith, has extended his loan spell with Raith for a month.

Hearts released youth player Ewan Saunderson after earlier freeing Danny Thomson, Michael Thomson and Callum Wyllie, but the exits did not spark the arrival of any more players. Hearts are restricted to signing under-21 players on a one-in, one-out basis, and on less wages than the player departing, and this month brought in Danny Wilson and Michael Ngoo on loan from Liverpool.
