SPL Fanzone: St Johnstone
WHAT an awful result we suffered on Saturday. Even Peter Houston admitted afterwards that it was never a 5-1 game – and there could be little doubt that St Johnstone actually had the better of the first half and part of the second period.
At the end of the day, though, we conceded five – virtually throwing at least three into the net ourselves – and just didn’t click all over the park. It was hardly the ideal way to prepare for our Scottish Cup replay against Hearts.
Dundee United, despite being lower down the league, actually look a far tougher proposition than Hearts have this season in our head-to-head matches and it wouldn’t surprise me to see United progress comfortably into the top six – they’ve got some outstanding young talent in Gary Mackay-Stevens and Johnny Russell.
