Scott back at County

Hibernian midfielder Martin Scott has returned to newly-promoted Ross County on loan for the coming season.

The 26-year-old signed for Hibs from the Dingwall club in January 2011. Scott has not started at first-team level for the Easter Road side since the beginning of January this year. On the return of the player – known as “Jimmy” – County manager Derek Adams said: “Jimmy’s not only an exceptionally gifted footballer who can play in a number of positions but he’s also an exceptional character.

“The spirit and camaraderie in the dressing room and within the club has been a huge part of what we’ve achieved here so far. I know Jimmy will only add to that so I’m delighted we’ve been able to bring him back and I’d like to thank Hibernian for their assistance in completing the loan deal to make it happen.”

Meanwhile, Inverness have agreed deals with three new players including former Real Madrid goalkeeper Antonio Reguero. Nineteen-year-old striker Jason Oswell – previously with Crewe Alexandra – and right-back David Raven, 27, who had a spell at Liverpool, have also agreed moves before the start of pre-season training today.

Reguero, 29, came through the youth set-up at the Spanish giants from 1994 to 2002, before graduating to the first-team squad. A serious knee injury hampered his progress at the Bernabeu and spells with Villarreal, Orihuela, Alicante and Gandia followed before making the move to the SPL.
