Rangers newco: Sone Aluko reunites with Steve Bruce at Hull City

SONE Aluko has joined Hull City after the Nigerian refused to allow his contract to transfer to the Rangers newco. He will be reunited with Steve Bruce, the man who gave him his debut in 2007 for Birmingham.

Aluko joined Rangers from Aberdeen last November on an initial deal until the end of the season and scored an impressive 12 league goals in 21 games for the club.

A Hull spokesperson said: “Hull City have completed the signing of Sone Aluko.

“The 23-year-old, who can operate in midfield, out wide and up front, has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal with the club.”
