Kagawa nets first goal for United

SHINJI Kagawa scored his first goal for Manchester United as the Red Devils picked up the Chevrolet China Cup after a 1-0 victory over Shanghai Shenhua.

New signing Kagawa, who was named as man of the match, found the net after 68 minutes against a second-string Shenhua outfit, who lined up without former Chelsea players Nicolas Anelka and Didier Drogba at the Shanghai Stadium.

After the match Sir Alex Ferguson said: “I was very pleased with the way we played in the second half. They were very well organised. They weren’t easy to play against.”
