Fraser Fyvie eyes £1m move to Fulham

FULHAM are favourites to sign Aberdeen midfielder Fraser Fyvie who is determined to leave Pittodrie in the summer.

The English Premiership side targeted the teenager last year but delayed a move as he was recovering from a serious ankle injury. Now the London club are set to make a £1m bid for a player who is out of contract at the end of this year.

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown has already lost youth team captain Jack Grimmer to Fulham this year but still picked up more money than Aberdeen got for selling captain Richard Foster to Bristol City.

Fyvie said: “I just kind of need to go to progress my career. Some people need a change and I feel it’s the right time for me to try my luck somewhere else.”

Fyvie is in line to start Saturday’s Scottish Cup semi-final against Hibs. He suffered an ankle injury in the quarter-final win at Motherwell but came off the bench against Dundee United last Saturday and played in a closed-doors friendly alongside Russell Anderson at Peterhead yesterday.
