PRINCE Charles got a warm Australian welcome from a lamb carried by Annie Ashby at a wool promotion event in Sydney.

The Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla are on a six-day tour of Australia to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee.

They also attended a reception for Australian servicemen and women.

Charles told them that Prince Harry had called three times from Afghanistan.

Major Karl Reynolds, 33, who returned home in July after a six-month deployment, said: “It’s good Harry is phoning home. It’s so easy to do now with the internet. A letter is always good but you can’t beat a call home.”
