Woman ‘threw child at man’

A WOMAN is to stand trial accused of picking up and throwing a four-year-old girl at a man.

Tammy Redford is alleged to have picked up the girl by her body and thrown her at the man at an address in Dundee. The girl cannot be named for legal reasons.

Prosecutors say Redford “wilfully ill treated” the girl in a “manner likely to cause her unnecessary suffering or injury to health”.

A not guilty plea was entered on her behalf at Dundee Sheriff Court yesterday.

Sheriff George Way set a trial date for November and ordered Redford to appear at a pre-trial hearing in October.
