Schoolgirl’s cheek broken by thief
A SCHOOLGIRL had her cheekbone broken as she was robbed at knifepoint during her lunch break.
Two girls, aged 14 and 15, were in Queen’s Park on Glasgow’s southside at 2pm on Thursday when they were approached by a group of four people.
Strathclyde Police said a girl from the group started talking to the victim. Then, a man aged between 17 and 19 took out a knife and demanded the 14-year-old’s mobile phone.
The girl refused and the man pulled her to the ground, injuring her face. He then took the other girl’s phone and ran off with the rest of the group.
The girl who started talking to the schoolgirls is 14-years-old, with ginger hair, freckles and was wearing a blue tracksuit. The male had short fair hair and also wore a blue tracksuit.
