Police appeal for dead man’s family

POLICE are trying to find relatives of a 71-year-old man, who died alone in his home in Glasgow.

Thomas Eccles, who was born on 21 April, 1941, lived in Currie Street, Ruchill. He died on 12 December and there were no suspicious circumstances, Strathclyde Police said.

It is believed Mr Eccles was born and educated in the Glasgow area; however, it is unknown if he ever married or had any children.

He was retired at the time of his death, but police do not know what his occupation was during his working days.

Police want to contact his family, so they can inform them of his death.

Officers at Strathclyde Police’s office in London Road are appealing to anyone who
knew Mr Eccles, or has information about his relatives or possible next of kin, to get in touch.
