Miracle escape for lucky tanker driver

A PETROL tanker driver had a lucky escape yesterday after his vehicle hit a tree.

The collision happened on the A811 near Kippen in Stirlingshire at about 8:20am.

An ambulance spokeswoman said the man escaped from the Thistle Petroleum truck before paramedics arrived.

He was treated at the scene and did not have to go to hospital.
