Man sought for rape attack

A MAN is being sought by police after a 42-year-old woman was raped last month.

The woman was so traumatised by the attack in Paisley, Renfrewshire, on 29 January that she reported the crime only last week.

The rape took place between 4pm and 7pm in a lane between Lansbury Gardens and Larkin Gardens in the Shortroods area of Paisley.

The woman was walking with the man for a short time before he attacked her.

The attacker is white, aged 40-45, 5ft 8in and of a slim-to-medium build. He has black receding hair, a scar on his left cheek and a pierced ear.
