A MAN is in a serious condition in hospital after being assaulted in the early hours of yesterday.

The 28-year-old was walking on Govan Road, in the Linthouse area of Glasgow at about 12:25am when he was assaulted. He was taken to the Southern General Hospital, where his condition has been described as
serious but stable.

Police say the male suspect is white, 6ft tall and of a thin build, with fair hair which was longer on top and cropped at the back and sides.

The suspect was with another man and a woman, who had long dark hair.

Police said the trio had just got out a black taxi outside the Gazelle pub.
