Man in court over Hibs player charge

A MAN has appeared on petition at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with assaulting Hibernian midfield player, Gary Deegan.

John Hall, 27, from Edinburgh, made a brief appearance in private yesterday and was released on bail. No plea was made on his behalf. The alleged assault is said to have occurred in the city’ George Street on 7 October.
