Drugs worth £100k found in police raid

Drugs with an estimated street value of more than £100,000 have been recovered after police searched a flat.

Officers from Strathclyde Police made the discovery at the property in Main Street, Blantyre, south Lanarkshire, under warrant at about 1:30pm on Saturday.

Police said £112,000 worth of cocaine was found.

A spokesman said: “A 21-year-old man has been arrested and is presently detained in police custody in connection with the find.”

The man is due to appear at Hamilton Sheriff Court today.
