Council empowered to block incinerator

Highland Council is to stage a legal challenge against the Scottish Government’s approval of a £43 million incinerator.

Councillors said they had a “moral obligation” to fight plans for the plant at Invergordon by Combined Power and Heat (Highlands) Ltd. They have until 10 January to submit their case.
