Boy, 16, struck by car badly hurt

A TEENAGE boy was taken to hospital seriously injured after he was hit by a car.

The 16-year-old pedestrian was struck by the vehicle in Brechin, Angus at around 7:40pm on Saturday. He was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee for treatment.

The red car had been travelling towards Montrose. Tayside Police appealed for information from anyone who witnessed the incident.
