Body found in burn has been identified

The body of the man found in a burn in West Lothian has been identified.

Discovered in the water near Holmes Court in Broxburn at around 9am on Saturday, the man was white, middle-aged, with short balding hair.

He was wearing a tan brown jacket, royal blue T-shirt, jeans, and distinctive grey over-the-ankle boots with buckles on them. He was also wearing a gold chain.

Lothian and Borders Police thanked members fo the public who responded to an appeal for information.

Officers have yet to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
