Blur to play live for BBC ahead of gigs in London’s Hyde Park
Blur are to play a live show for BBC radio ahead of their comeback and warm-up gigs in London’s Hyde Park.
The group will play intimate performances at the corporation’s Maida Vale studios later this month for Radio 2 and Radio 6 Music.
The reunited band are building up to a major outdoor show in Hyde Park to coincide with the closing ceremony of the Olympics.
Earlier this month the group debuted two new songs online as they streamed a live performance from a west London rooftop.
Blur will play songs from their back catalogue, which stretches back 21 years, when they play the BBC shows on 31 July for the two stations, which will give away tickets to listeners.
