Shedding light on carbon footprint

BOTH sides of the climate change argument have their scientific supporters, while First Minister Alex Salmond is a firm believer that we must reduce our “carbon footprint” at enormous investment in renewable energy.

I have been reading a report recently issued by the Research Council of Norway on this matter. As our First Minister is not averse to what Norway says and does, I quote the report: “More effort is needed to understand natural climate variability in order to better quantify the uncertainty in predicting future climate.”

Further, “a good understanding of the climate system cannot be reached without a dedicated effort to understand the contribution to climate change from natural climate processes”.

Norway is the latest country to acknowledge that the original climate change models lacked any input of solar activity and little or nothing re ocean currents and hence were incorrect. Oops
