The anti-wind farm lobby would do well to consider the Commons public accounts

The anti-wind farm lobby would do well to consider the Commons public accounts
committee report on the clean-up costs arising from the nuclear industry’s waste dumped above ground at Windscale.

Costs are put at £67.5 billion, with no sign that the figure will stop rising.

The SNP’s renewable energy policy for an independent Scotland, of developing wind, wave, tide and ground resources,
coupled with clean-burn fossil fuels, is surely the pragmatic way forward, rather than the creation of an ever-expanding toxic legacy of nuclear waste with a 100,000-year shelf life.
